Kate designed the rebranded identity of Obagi Medical. A project years in the making, overhauling the aesthetics of the brand to move to a new elevated, cohesive approach was a massive undertaking.
First came updating the logo. Obagi has long been known for numerous logos spanning across generations of beauty since the brand started by Zein E. Obagi in the 1980s. Obagi Medical Logo
"Obagi Medical is an iconic brand since the 80s. Throughout its history, Obagi Medical has relied on multiple logos to showcase its different product functions. It was important to have one clean logo that still feels recognizable to consumers. I ensured to have a fully custom lettering so that it is only Obagi's." - Kate

"A huge overhaul indeed - along with the logo update came packaging advancements. With metallic bars to show the category of each product grouping and a clear hierarchy, Obagi's new products are going to be easier to differentiate on shelf, yet remain in brand togetherness.
Bigger logo the better, with hierarchy remaining in place." - Kate
